Gas.Pump It

So gas has shot up to $3.99 / gallon here and thank goodness I drive a small car. My "pain at the pump" is not so bad but trust I will be more mindful of my trips and try to consolidate my travels to preserve my fuel. I've been utilizing the "ECO" feature on both my car and GPS and I don't speed as much as I used to. LOL! I used to fill up at half but now I ride it until the gas light comes on and take a gamble praying I don't break down somewhere crazy. Crazy, huh?

Homemade Pizza

I wanted pizza for dinner a couple nights ago with my love but didn't want to order out/in (whichever one you use). So we decided to make a homemade pizza with most of my favorite toppings. He's a meat eater and I'm slowly weaning off of red meats. I agreed to have Canadian Bacon coupled with my favorite toppings of Onions, Pineapples and Green Peppers. As I cut the peppers and onions up, I began to think of all the custom creations I could create since we were making it at home! When the pizza was done, I served it with a side of salad as we watched Celebrity Apprentice. It was delicious! Especially topped with crushed red pepper. I have more pizza adventures coming soon!

Cheddar Biscuits

I've had my fair share of Red Lobster cheddar biscuits and have been exposed to others but seriously nothing compares to Red Lobster's cheddar biscuits. Hell, it's the only food I'd rather have there. I'm not a big seafood fan and some of their appetizers were simply, "alright" but those cheddar biscuits are AMAZING. I can imagine some dude in the kitchen just dropping the biscuit batter onto pans all day next to the oven like clockwork. Can you picture that? He has job security due to people like me ya know? Anyways, here's a recipe a friend shared with me for homemade cheddar biscuits:

RED LOBSTER'S CHEDDAR BISCUIT RECIPE



2 cup. Bisquick
1/2 cup. Shredded sharp cheddar
2/3 cup Milk
1/4 cup Melted butter
1/4 tsp. Garlic powder

Mix Bisquick, cheddar and milk into soft dough. Beat with a wooden spoon for about 30 seconds. Spoon on to greased cookie sheet. Smooth down tops. (Bisquick forms sharp hard points otherwise) Bake for 8 to 10 min at 450 degrees.

While baking, melt butter in pan and stir in garlic powder. Take biscuits from oven when done and brush butter on tops and serve hot.
