TJ's Southern Cuisine Food Review
I don't know too many men who know how to throw down in the kitchen besides my father. But now I can add my homeboy Terrell to my list of men who can cook!
My refrigerator is currently on "liquids only" status. I have not been to the grocery store in hellas! So Terrell invited me over for dinner to show me how he gets down in kitchen. Now I have had his chicken wings before but they were rushed as far as being made but they were still edible. When I arrived he is setting up the side dishes simultaneously. He is boiling the water for the shell macaroni, preparing the green beans and setting up his oil for the chicken wings. He rinses the wings off and starts to prepare them for seasoning and batter. The lovely smell of spices is floating in the air as the meal begans to unfold. The next thing I know, he is chopping butter and putting shredded AND Velveta cheese on the newly cooked macaroni noodles. I made sure to come with an empty stomach so that I could fill myself up. He hands me plate and I dig in upon the completion of the last chicken wing out the fryer. I go in for 2 chicken wings and a nice scoop of macaroni and green beans. He prepares me a glass of Simply Lemonade on ice. Since the chicken was fresh out the fryer, I burned my fingers a lil bit as I tried to break it up. He asked me why I only got two wings and I replied that I eat food like a snake, very slowly. He shook his head and grabbed 4 wings as I gently ate the wings with my fingers and some with my fork. By the way, I don't eat my food like normal folks do sometimes. So I grab me a stack of napkins and go to town again. I got full towards the completion of my plate but I did finish! So as I sat back with the ITIS, I begin to think, "We should of topped this off with dessert!". So we go to Shop-N-Save and get a peach pie (to stick with the southern theme) and vanilla ice cream. We got back to the crib and ate dessert and ended the night laughing our asses off at the Maury show. It was fun, fulfilling and most of all delicious! If you or someone you know, knows someone who can cook, let me know so I can come through and do a review!
